After a month of being disorganised and stress eating I have decided I need to get back on track with my health and start eating for energy, after all food is fuel.
My calorie counting has gone out the window of late with travelling, staying with friends and eating at places where meals have an unknown (and probably high)number of calories.
I signed up for a free account at myfitnesspal today which looks to be a lot easier to use then sharecare.com and I was happy to see that there were heaps of New Zealand food brands already pre loaded into their database, which means no more hand typing in small figures off the back of packets and cans!!!
This morning I sat down to a real treat for breakfast (which is surprizing considering there is very little food in my cuboards).
Gluten Free Beans on Toast
- 1 Slice of Pavillion Gluten Free Original Bread
- 1 Serve (half a can) of Delmaine Butter Beans in Italian Sauce.
Beans on toast was a great treat for a chilly autumn morning and reminded me of the good old gluten eating days. I followed this up with a english breakfast tea for a snuggly start to my morning.
Great brekky idea for kids and adults
I think it was around 275 calories of my 1400 a day limit
